Daniel has a mixed practice in Civil and Criminal Litigation. The focus of his practice includes Contract and Commercial, Crime, Company and Partnership, Employment, Family, Insurance, Land, Landlord and Tenant, Building Management, Personal Injury and Tort. He was appointed by the Judiciary as Deputy Adjudicator of the Small Claims Tribunal for the period from 2014 to 2016 and as Deputy Presiding Officer of the Labour Tribunal for the period from 2016 to 2017. Daniel obtained his law degree in 1993 and post-graduate legal qualification in 1994. He was called to the Bar in Hong Kong in 1994 and has been in active private practice since 1995.

Apart from his legal practice, Daniel has also been engaged by various Universities and institutions in Hong Kong in providing services for law-related lectures, seminars, talks and in-house training. In addition to joining the Legal Aid Panel and the Panel for Prosecution on Fiat for the Department of Justice, Daniel also provides services to the Duty Lawyer Scheme in representing the accused in criminal proceedings and the claimant in Non-Refoulement application.
